A sahara desert adventure and 3-day Erg Chigaga camel trek for the benefit of the Children of the Sahara Foundation. From Marrakech we cross the Atlas, and drive along the Draa Valley, to the road's end at M'hamid from where we camel trek across a protected desert wilderness to visit the Ait Atta Berber nomads who live here.

Celebrate New Year Eve around a camp fire and sleep under the stars in a desert camp.

In terms of photographic opportunities, these were terrific: from the gorges, barren landscapes and fertile valley floors of the Atlas Mountains, to the assorted Berber nomads appearing in all kinds of places, to the sand dunes of the Sahara, and finishing up getting lost in the souks of Marrakech, there was something for everyone."
